This building is renovated to meet LEED Silver certification.
This project consists of the renovation/alteration of the existing Historic Building Annex at Tampa National Guard Armory. Project includes site modifications and a complete interior renovation with demolition of selective structural elements, window replacement, and exterior porch column repair and replacement to an existing historic 6,792 square foot 2 story building.
The scope of work includes the reconfiguration of existing partitions; accommodate for a dislocation plan for troops in the existing building, upgrading the building to meet current life safety codes; American Disability Act (ADA) requirements; energy efficiency to achieve a LEED Silver certification and the current energy code; verify doors and windows meet code to include new hardware; new interior finishes throughout; new building insulation; verify existing roofing system for integrity; new energy efficient HVAC equipment; new plumbing and fixtures where needed to meet LEED and code upgrades; all new electrical wiring and electrical devices and all new energy efficient lighting; if needed, new grease traps and connection to existing sanitary sewer, new fire-sprinkler system and upgrade of existing fire sprinkler system; and new fire alarm system; verify if an elevator is needed; removing two existing vaults and installing one vault; pavement/parking investigation and design as needed for both POV and MOV under civil services.
